Your website is your “home base”; where you send customers or your target audience to find out more about what you offer and how you can help them. It’s not going to leave a good impression if the page takes minutes to load and isn’t working as it should. To ensure your website is working, we recommend conducting regular audits, to unwrap any issues, so you can improve your website health.

Page speed is an important factor in website performance, the longer the site takes to load, the higher the bounce rate. The optimal page speed is 3 seconds and below. There are many free tools out there to measure your page speed and provide you with some tips on how to improve it. One of my personal favourites is Google’s tool PageSpeed Insights. It provides a score for both the desktop and mobile sites.

If you’ve got it, haunt it! Make it easier for your target audience to find your business using Google My Business, commonly referred to as your GMB in the wonderful world of Digital Marketing.

For those ghouls who may not know what Google My Business is, it’s a digital representation of your business, think of it as a newspaper ad on the side of a Google SERP (search engine results page).

It contains all the necessary information that your customers will need, this includes phone number, email address, business address, reviews, google map, images of the business, and a shortcut to your website. 

I would definitely recommend spending a good chunk of time setting up your GMB correctly. Use high-quality images and include all necessary information to help potential customers find their way to your website.

Blog, blogs, blogs! If you read our blogs regularly you are probably aware of how important content is to your SEO strategy. By ensuring your blogs are fully optimised you can be sure to reap the benefits of regular publishing and fresh content. 

It’s key to remember when producing content that you’re writing for your readers, not the search engine. Search engines don’t buy your products or services, people do. Produce engaging content and something that people want to read, ask rhetorical questions, or make a few jokes. It’s all up to you, it’s your brand!

Give em’ pumpkin to talk about. Online reviews are a great, authentic way for your customers to talk about experiences with your company, products, or services! They help to increase sales, boost SEO rankings, and provide your consumers with a voice. Allowing other potential customers to read up on previous experiences, which (if good) help to pull in more sales. Good reviews = trust. 

However, bad reviews could haunt your business. It’s key that if your business receives a bad review you reply in a polite and caring way. This shows other potential customers you can deal well with problems.
